What Do You Get By Chanting and Smashing a Pie in Someone’s Face? Witness the POWER of Curiosity the Brazilian Way: “Curioso”

This is a good one. It’s a Brazilian prank that shows what makes people laugh at in Brazil. It also reveals what people get really pissed off about too. Right smack in the middle, it uses the universal psychological trigger of curiosity to make people “take action” and see what’s inside the box.

This has to be one of the clearest ways that curiosity motivates people regardless of their gender, religion, education or social status. We are all curious but imagine trying to pull this off in the U.S. How well do you think it would work? Imagine two guys in a blue box chanting “The first curious one” over and over. How many people would take a look? I don’t think that many. And what do you think their reaction would be?

How to Use an Event for the Theme of Your Launch: The FTC Scare & Christian W (PPC Ninja)

Here is a quick and dirty way to use an event like the FTC crackdown as the “reason why” to either conduct a launch or make your customer take action because of it.

Jeff Walker showed us with his Quick Launch for Product Launch Formula 2.3 + a couple weeks ago how to use the “Feds” and “FTC” as a great reason to take his infamous case studies off the web in fear of prosecution. Well, I don’t care how scared Jeff was because he clearly used the FTC fear as a reason to squeeze in one more launch before the year was over. I hate to burst your bubble but the whole theme of the launch was based of the FTC hysteria and prompted a lot of people to take action and buy PLF 2.3+. If Jeff really wanted to do a launch without case studies, all he had to do is ask his buddy Frank Kern how to do it. Frank is the master of launches without case studies…

What Perigoso Taught Me About Management: Never EVER Waiver in Your Decision Making

Do you see the darker guy in the right of the picture handing me the air hose? That my friend, is Perigoso. He is by far one of the most important people in my life. He has positively influenced me in a myriad of ways and made me a better person because of it. He is strong. He’s demanding. He will not take “No” for an answer. He’s also fiercely loyal and the hardest worker I’ve ever met. The roof that we are both standing on is from a condo conversion that I did in the summer of 2004. It was the biggest project I had tackled up to that point of my General Contracting career. The goal was to remodel the entire two family, inside and out, and sell it quick-quick for a profit. It was the first condo conversion I had ever done and Perigoso was instrumental in helping me reach my goal. He also taught me something about management as a GC that I had not yet learned: Never EVER waiver after making a decision. Let me go into more detail…
