“So Frank, why don’t you have a lead capture box on your website?”
“A what?”
“An opt-in page. Ya know. The place that your prospect puts in his first name and email to sign up to your newsletter or somethin’.”
“I don’t have a newsletter.”
“Okay. No problem. But why aren’t you collecting prospect’s info?”
“I still don’t get this opt…What did you call it? This lead capture thing. The guy I hired to do my website disappeared a while back…Collecting emails? Why would I want to do that? I’m not sure if I get ya on this one.”
I’ve been through this dance quite a few times. It’s tough to convey an idea to someone without any visual aids. That’s why I made this video. If I’m with a prospect or even a client and they don’t get the whole “lead capture” thing, then now I have a visual tool to point them to.
In this case it’s a video that shows how “Little Sean” inspired me. He made me laugh. He made me smile. He compelled me to take action by making a video showcasing the work that he does.
Little Sean is sharp. He collects people’s emails and contact info. He gives them something in return.
If you’re struggling to explain visual based concepts to your clients, than make ‘em a video. It only boosts your expert status and authority and gives your prospects and clients something to watch over and over until they finally understand it.
